Be sure that you refrain from:
  • eating a heavy meal within 2 hours prior to class start. However, a small snack (fruit/protein) is a good idea!
  • perfume/scents of any kind or using lotion on your hands or feet (will make you very slippery!)
  • wearing heavy, loose clothing. Breathable, lightweight fabrics are best.

  • Forrest Yoga

Yin & Tok Sen
***All levels welcomed and encouraged***

Yin & Tok Sen is a combination of Yin Yoga infused with the Thai healing practice of Tok Sen.

Yin yoga is a slow-paced practice that allows students to sit in postures for longer periods of time. This practice works the connective tissues to include the joints, ligament, fascia, and tendons and creates space in the body.

Tok Sen is a Thai bodywork modality that uses a wooden hammer and mallet to tap along the Sen lines of the body. This practice opens up the energy channels and loosens up myofascial adhesions.

It is a perfect combination of Yin Yoga and Tok Sen bodywork to help heal the body, mind, and soul.

This Class is led by Tammie Folkers who spent five months in Thailand training in Thai Massage and Tok Sen.
Yoga Basics
Our most fundamental, basic yoga class. Leave your shoes, worries and ego at the door + welcome to traditional yoga!

Whether you're brand-new to yoga or a regular practitioner, in this class you will learn the most common yoga poses (asana's) and their modifications.

While building strength and flexibility you will be guided to use yoga breathing (pranayama) and learn how to safely and efficiently flow between poses while gaining endurance and balance.

Absolutely no experience needed!
*Perfect for Prenatal/Postnatal, seniors, beginners or those with minor medical conditions.
*60 minutes.

Flow + Restore
The first half of this calming gentle flow class will encourage you to move with your breath, at your own pace. Your instructor will offer precise alignment and safe modifications in each pose, enabling all levels (beginner--advanced) to deeply stretch, tone and strengthen muscles.

The second half of class will be a soothing Restorative Yoga sequence using many props that are available for everyone to use.
A fantastic addition to your active schedule---you'll be hooked, no doubt!
*Perfect for all levels, including prenatal and beginners.
*75 minutes

Slow + Deep Flow
Are you seeking supple strength and composed calm? Do you want to feel good during and after your yoga class? Are some classes just too fast for you and you desire a little slower pace? Do you want to be able to deeply engage and feel what the instructor is teaching? Would you like to have more understanding of proper technique so that you are safe and gain the greatest benefit from your yoga practice?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then you will love this class!

Come and enjoy the delicious synthesis of guided movement, breath, and energy that is the basis of our Slow & Deep Flow class. When we learn to take time in our postures, our nervous systems relax, our minds slow down, our muscles become supple, our breath deepens – our inner chemistry shifts towards a biological balance, which one experiences as peace, tranquility, relaxation, emerging bliss!

*75 minutes.

Moon Salutations by Candlelight Friday's before the next NEW MOON

Come and enjoy the delicious synthesis of guided movement, breath, and energy that is centered around the moon phases and astrology. In this class we will connect to the energy of the moon and the zodiacal wheel with movement and grace. When we learn to take time in our postures, our nervous systems relax, our minds slow down, our muscles become supple, our breath deepens – our inner chemistry shifts towards a biological balance, which one experiences as peace, tranquility, relaxation, emerging bliss and along the way...learn a bit of astrology! BRING a journal! Because we will write down our thoughts & intentions for the NEW MOON in the first part of the class. In the middle we will flow and the last part will be relaxing and restorative.

THIS CLASS is held once a month on the Friday before each NEW MOON.

YIN FLOW & YANG FLOW CLASSES

Your Early morning Thursday & Friday 530 am classes!

Yin Flow (Thursday) & Yang Flow (Friday) are part of a very beneficial class combo (or if you just like one!) for all students, especially when practiced at least 1x week.

Thursday mornings at 5:30 am we will focus on the elements of Yin Flow.

*Yin=cooling, slower guided breathing, meditative. Postures are held/supported for 2-5 minutes each as a way to lengthen and strengthen connective tissues and move stored energy efficiently.

“Yin” practice works the connective tissues, tendons, and fascia as well as to cool down, and breathe into sensations (sometimes unpleasant!) that may arise with such long, deep holds. Props are available and students are encouraged to use them as needed.

Friday mornings at 5:30 am we will focus on the elements of Yang Flow.

*Yang=warmth, flowing gentle movements and postures, muscle strengthening, deep breathing.

''Yang'' (asana/movement) and guided breathing to increase heat and warm the muscles effectively.

If you committed yourself to taking both early morning classes you would find so much depth in your practice and your life. Yin & Yang... the perfect balance! No experience necessary. Dress comfortably.
Yang to Yin Yoga  or  Yin Yoga
This is a very beneficial 30/30 (minutes) class for almost all students, especially when practiced at least 1x week.

*Yang=warmth, flowing gentle movements and postures, muscle strengthening, deep breathing.

*Yin=cooling, slower guided breathing, meditative.
Postures are held/supported for 2-5 minutes each as a way to lengthen and strengthen connective tissues and move stored energy efficiently.

Yang to Yin class may begin with 30 minutes of ''yang'' (asana/movement) and guided breathing to increase heat and warm the muscles effectively.
We will then transition into our ''yin'' practice for the remaining 30 minutes to cool down, and breathe into sensations (sometimes unpleasant!) that may arise with such long, deep holds. Props are available and students are encouraged to use them as needed.

Yin (only) Yoga class is 60 minutes and is also for all levels.  No 'movement', just deep stretches that specifically work to relieve tension, and are held for several minutes each.
*No experience necessary, all levels welcome. Dress comfortably.
*60 minutes.

Dynamic Flow or Vinyasa Flow
Dynamic Flow Yoga is a challenging (all levels) practice that builds heat, stamina, flexibility, strength, and mental focus by using poses that encourage alignment, flexibility, balance, strength, and cardiovascular endurance.

Expect to have fun and laugh with your fellow yogi's in this creatively sequenced class, enhanced by great upbeat music!

Some of the classes are heated and are marked on MINDBODY. For those classes the studio is heated to a balmy 80*, so you may sweat a lot!

Modifications offered to encourage proper alignment. Safety first, yogi's!

*All-levels class, be sure to hydrate.
*75 minutes.

Vinyasa+
Some classes are heated to 85*not all vinyasa classes are.

Vinyasa+ is a fun, vigorous yoga class for intermediate-advanced students that have been practicing yoga consistently for at least 2 months. Students should be able to understand the sequencing cues and breathing (pranayama), as instructed by our experienced teachers.

Students will learn to flow at a faster pace and may be taught inversions, arm balancing poses and challenging ways to deepen their yoga practice.

Please hydrate prior to class by drinking at least 16 oz. of water, and bring your water bottle to class.  We also recommend a yoga towel to prevent slipping on your mat. (sold in the studio, if needed)
*Expect to sweat, have fun and build strength! 75 minutes.

CORE FUSION

Core Fusion is a fast paced class for strengthening utilizing the combination of yoga asana and mat work that targets the core, pelvic girdle, and shoulder girdle. This class is an all-levels class that uses props and therabands for stretching.

Think resistance training meets yoga/barre/pilates.. it's a class for strength for sure!
